Over recent years we have had a policy of authorising, in term , holidays of up to 5 days, this is, however leading to a substantial number of missed days and a slowing of progress for some children.
As of September 2012 we are no longer able to authorise any holidays taken during term time. Any holiday which is taken during school time will be unauthorised.
This does not mean that we will not work with parents who find themselves in exceptional circumstances, but that breaks taken outside of the normal holidays are not a good idea for the progress of a student’s education.
